She was the wife of 48 years to Orvel Gay.Born on April 9, 1938, in Dargan, she was the daughter of the late Justin and Dorothy Johnson. She was a member of Samples Manor Church of God. Tootsie was also a member of the AARP.In addition to her husband Orvel, she is survived by her two sons, Denny Ingram and wife Pam, and Steve Ingram and wife Shannon; five grandchildren, Stevie Ingram and wife Kelly, Jennifer Gullace and husband Tim, Justin "Beefie" Ingram and girlfriend Kaylene, Brittany Ingram, and Kelly Shoop and husband Troy; eight great-grandchildren, Emma, Haley, Ella, Paislee, Lenzie, Damian, Kayla and Jordan; and two great-great-grandchildren, Bryleigh and Quinn.The family will receive friends from 5 to 8 p.m. on Thursday, March 29, 2018, at Bast-Stauffer Funeral Home, 7606 Old National Pike, Boonsboro, MD 21713. The funeral service will begin at 11 a.m. on Friday, March 30, at the funeral home. Pastor Daryl Strite will officiate.
